BMW has confirmed that production of the Z4 roadster will end in March 2026. To mark the conclusion of the model line, the company is introducing the BMW Z4 Final Edition, a limited-time offering that adds exclusive design and equipment features. Orders will open in late January 2026.

The Final Edition stands out visually with its Frozen Matt Black paint, a finish available only on this Z4. The colour is paired with the standard M High-gloss Shadowline exterior trim. Other colours from the regular Z4 palette may also be selected at no extra cost. All Final Edition models come with High-gloss Red M Sport brakes.

Inside, the Final Edition features red contrast stitching across the instrument panel, centre console, door trims, and M Sport seats upholstered in Vernasca leather and Alcantara. An M Alcantara steering wheel with matching stitching reinforces the car’s sporty character, while unique door sill plates further differentiate the model.

The Final Edition package is available across the full Z4 range, with the Z4 sDrive20i making 197 hp, the Z4 sDrive30i making 258 hp, and the top-dog, the Z4 M40i, making 340 hp thanks to the B58 straight-six engine.

The third-generation Z4 premiered at Pebble Beach in 2018. It returned to a fabric softtop and adopted modern technology, including updated driver-assistance, infotainment, and connectivity features. The range-topping Z4 M40i features the B58 three-litre straight-six with M TwinPower Turbo technology and, in 2024, gained an available manual transmission with the Pure Impulse Edition.

The new Final Edition serves as the concluding chapter for the third and final generation of the BMW Z4. It also coincides with the end of production for the Toyota Supra, which is based on the Z4.
