Just a few weeks ago we wrote how over in Thailand, Toyota launched the Electrified Yaris Ativ (Vios). We even speculated that a PH launch could happen soon now that the whole lineup for the all-new Vios is complete.
Toyota PH Teases All-New Vios (ATIV) Launch
Just a few minutes ago, on the official Facebook Page of Toyota Motor Philippines, a teaser was posted:
It was a photo of the headlight that very much resembles the Yaris Ativ (Vios) with a caption “Coming Very Soon. #BeyondZero #MoveYourWorld #MobilityForAll“. From the caption alone, we can already surmise that the Vios Ativ that will be launched locally will be the hybrid version. The “Beyond Zero” hashtag is the brand’s push towards a more sustainable future through electrified models. Further clues are the photo caption “Achieve The Electrified Vision”, with the letters of each word highlighted in the trademark Toyota Beyond Zero Blue that spell: ATIV.
Given this we can also assume that the specifications for the models that will be launched locally will be very similar to what is on offer in Thailand, give or take a few creature comforts to keep costs down.
In any case, this comes as good news for Vios fans who’ve been clamoring for the all-new model, and an electrified one at that. Stay tuned for more details
