Since 2013, Ayala, now known as AC Mobility, has distributed Volkswagen vehicles in the Philippines; however, it has now reached the end of the line.
Volkswagen Philippines started out with a great lineup, bringing in the Golf GTi, Passat, Tiguan, and Touareg, to name a few. However, their rapid transition to China-sourced SAIC Volkswagen models has been their downfall, and these vehicles have not been well-received by the Filipino consumer.
Unfamiliar models, high pricing, and some odd decisions have now led Volkswagen Philippines to where they are today.
