Fuel Price Update, March 18, 2025 – No adjustment for gas, diesel goes down PHP 0.20

Tomorrow’s fuel price update – despite being, err, “modest” – is still a win. More specifically so for diesel owners as their fuel type of choice i set to go down by PHP 0.20USD 0.00INR 0.30EUR 0.00CNY 0.03. We did say “modest”, right? Those who use gasoline, however, will not get to enjoy a rollback this week, but at least they can still top up with last week’s lowered prices.

Fuel price of gasoline remains the same, diesel goes down very slightly

It’s been a while since we had a fuel price adjustment like what will be implemented tomorrow. That notwithstanding, it is a rollback and that’s still good news overall. As mentioned, a PHP 0.20USD 0.00INR 0.30EUR 0.00CNY 0.03 reduction in the price of diesel will be applied tomorrow, while gasoline prices remain the same as last week after a sizeable PHP 1.70USD 0.03INR 3EUR 0.03CNY 0.21 reduction.

Many players will adjust their pump prices as early as 6:00 AM, and that will include the likes of Seaoil, Unioil, Petro Gazz, Shell, Caltex, and Petron. Cleanfuel, however, will do so a little bit later. Its pumps will reflect the fuel price update at 8:01 AM. Regardless, we can expect all stations to have cheaper diesel per liter compared to last week.

In case the fuel price rollbacks are proving too few and far in between for you, now is as good a time as any to start looking at alternative sources of vehicle power. What with the high possibility of the first Ford Ranger PHEV coming into the PH or the fact that even Toyota may bring in a more “for the masses” EV like the CH-R+, it looks like we won’t have a shortage of choices abound.

This notwithstanding, at least all of us fossil-fuel-using folks have something to smile about this week. And that’s always a good thing.
