Important Advisory: MRT-3 operations suspended on Holy Week, March 28-31, 2024
For those who might have been planning to use the MRT-3 to get around during Holy Week, you might want to rethink your plans. It was recently announced that operations of all lines of Metro Rail Transit 3 will be suspended for four days “to give way for the rail line’s annual Holy Week maintenance activities”. The suspension will be from March 28 to 31.

There isn’t much time to get any maintenance work done for the MRT-3. Unless very long weekends and holidays are declared, it’s usually during Holy Week that all these are done. This year will be no different as the announcement was made just last Friday that starting Maundy Thursday, March 28, to Easter Sunday, March 31, operations will be suspended.

Wednesday, March 28, will be the last day of normal operations for the MRT-3 before the long break. The last trip from North Avenue Station will roll out at 9:30 PM, and the last trip from Taft Avenue Station will be at 10:09 PM.
Normal operations will resume on Monday, April 1, with the first train rolling out of the North Avenue Station at 4:30 AM and the first from Taft Avenue Station at 5:05 AM.

As of this posting, there has been no announcement from LRT-1 and LRT-2 regarding their Holy Week operation hours, but trust that we’ll bring you the information as soon as we get it.
