Nissan has recently unveiled the design of the Nissan Z Proto, the successor to the fifth-generation Fairlady Z. The prototype gives fans the idea of what to expect in the upcoming Fairlady Z. As shared by Nissan, it is equipped with a V-6, twin-turbocharged engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
The Nissan Z Proto sports a pearlescent yellow body paint and a black roof that pays tribute to its first and fourth-generation predecessors. It has Z triple-meter gauges, a distinctive roofline, and a modern sports car cockpit.
Staying true to its DNA while adding a modern twist to its iconic cues, the Nissan Z Proto sports a teardrop-shaped LED headlights, rectangular grille, oval grille fins, slanted roofline, LED rectangular taillights set within a rectangular black section, 19-inch alloy wheels, and dual exhausts.
There’s also the legendary Nissan Z logo on its rear, making the Nissan Z Proto a perfect successor for the series.
The interior has been designed with driver-centered ergonomics with a deep-dish steering wheel, yellow accents throughout the instrument panel and cabin seats, and a 12.3-inch digital meter display.
Nissan is yet to announce its global pricing and availability since it is still under development.
