2024 Honda City has been facelifted and given more features, when will PH get it?

The latest generation of the Honda City has been around for 3 years now (2 locally), as such most of its competitors have either launched all-new vehicles or updated their models.

Now the Japanese automaker wants to fight back, and it’s given the City some rather interesting new exterior and interior features.

2024 Honda City update

At first glance you’d be hard-pressed to find any new updates to the exterior, however, if you look closely you’ll spot some minor differences to its bumpers, grille, and wheel designs. The bumper and front splitter area now feature a more aggressive and angular design, while the grille pattern resembles that of the current-generation Civic. The rear bumper meanwhile gets a splitter and smoother edges.

Inside, the 2024 City gets a bigger infotainment screen for the top-end variants, and not much has changed for the lower-end variants. The biggest change though is the fact that the higher variants get wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Lane Watch system, an updated reverse camera, and rain-sensing wipers.

The best news of all though is the 2024 City will be offered with the Honda Sensing safety suite which was absent in the model during its launch years ago. The top models that get this will have adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation warning, lane keep assist, and lead car departure warning.

As for the engines, the City will be powered by the current powertrain offerings of the brand. The next question on our minds is when will the Philippines get the updated City? No word yet on that, but we’re almost certain Honda PH is working on getting it here given the nameplate’s success locally.
