Audi has officially introduced the third-generation Q3, one of its best-selling models globally, and it has sold over two million units since launch. The updated compact SUV brings a sharper design, new powertrains, including a more powerful plug-in hybrid, and a range of advanced interior and safety technologies.

The new Q3 line-up includes combustion engines with mild-hybrid systems and a plug-in hybrid variant. The entry-level Q3 SUV TFSI delivers 110 kW (approx. 150 hp) from a four-cylinder petrol engine. A TDI version with the same output is available for long-distance drivers.

The highlight is the Q3 SUV e-hybrid, which now offers up to 268 hp. Its 25.7 kWh battery supports DC charging at up to 50 kW and offers a claimed WLTP electric range of up to 119 km.

Audi has refreshed the Q3’s exterior with a more dynamic and aerodynamic shape. The wide Singleframe grille and sleeker headlights are integrated into the new front-end design. A horizontal shoulder line visually divides the side profile, adding depth and character.

At the rear, buyers can opt for digital OLED tail lights paired with a full-width LED strip and illuminated Audi rings. The front also debuts digital Matrix LED headlights using micro-LEDs, which improve road illumination and work more closely with driver assistance systems.

Inside, Audi has introduced new steering column controls that free up storage space and streamline operation. The left stalk now manages lights and wipers, while the right acts as the gear selector.

Digital features from Audi’s higher-end models have been brought into the compact class. The new infotainment system, improved ergonomics, and optional acoustic glass for the front side windows all contribute to a quieter and more user-friendly cabin.

Cargo space is at 1386L available when the rear bench is folded. The seat bench can also slide and recline as standard. The Q3 has a towing capacity of up to 2100 kg.

Audi has improved driver assistance systems in the new Q3. The adaptive driving assistant plus supports acceleration, braking, and lane keeping. An interior camera monitors the driver for signs of drowsiness, while new features like trained parking and reverse assist help navigate tight spaces and dead ends.
The Audi Q3 finally gets its much deserved next-generation model with a fresher design that completely transcends the former generation’s aging design.
