Geely Auto gives the EX5 effective over-the-air updates

Geely Auto has announced that its next-generation all-electric SUV, the Geely EX5, will receive its first global update in 2026.

The update, which will be rolled out across international markets, focuses on improving day-to-day usability. Enhancements cover intelligent connectivity, system responsiveness, ease of use, and safety-related features. As a key model in Geely’s global expansion strategy, the EX5 continues to evolve through software upgrades aimed at practical, real-world improvements.

The 2026 update introduces three main features designed to improve both the intelligent cockpit and overall driving experience:

-The EX5 will gain Android Auto in-car connectivity, adding broader support for Android systems and expanding smartphone integration options.

-It will also offer customizable Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System (AVAS) low-speed alert sounds. Drivers can choose from three selectable audio profiles to suit personal preferences.

-A new Drive Setup one-touch activation feature will allow drivers to adjust multiple intelligent driving functions quickly through a single command.

Geely said the updates are based on user feedback from global markets. The company added that it will continue to refine the EX5 through innovation and software development to deliver improved value, reliability, and long-term usability for customers.
