GrabChat photo-sharing feature announced

Grab introduces a new feature in their chat system which allows passengers to send photos to their drivers.

Grab implemented this feature to reduce the number of booking cancellations on the driver’s end due to lack of communication or misunderstanding. To access it, users can press the camera icon and choose whether to capture a new image or pick from the gallery (the latter only available on Android devices).

For now, only passengers can send photos to the drivers but not the other way around. Photos are also removed when the booking is complete but are stored in Grab’s database for potential referencing.
