LTO extends registration validity of number plates ending in 8 another month

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has been proactive in trying to ensure that motorists are not hassled. Ever since the pandemic, they have been doing their best to extend the validity of license plate registrations.

LTO: Plate numbers ending in 8 have one more month to register

The LTO has now announced that vehicles with plates ending in 8 can still register without penalties until October 31, 2022. This is despite the fact that plate numbers ending in 8 were supposed to have expired last August 2022.

What has yet to be announced and confirmed is if the transport office will do the same for plate numbers ending in 9 and 0, considering we’re already headed towards the month of October. We can expect an announcement soon though.
