Plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs) are gaining traction in the Philippines as more consumers look for environmentally friendly alternatives to conventional gasoline-powered cars. PHEVs combine electric and gasoline power, offering improved fuel efficiency, lower emissions, and the ability to complete many daily drives on electric power alone. These vehicles also qualify for number coding exemptions, adding convenience for urban drivers. For many buyers, PHEVs are a practical step toward fully electric vehicles.
