Mitsubishi Motors Philippines celebrates production of 900,000th L300 unit

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has reached a manufacturing milestone with the local production of its 900,000th Mitsubishi L300 unit.

Yes, the commercial vehicle everyone is familiar with for a variety of uses, including numerous movie appearances, has already reached 100,000 units shy of a million.

The company said the milestone reinforces its long-standing commitment to quality manufacturing and operational discipline in the Philippines. The locally produced L300 has become one of the country’s most established commercial vehicles, widely used by small and medium enterprises, logistics providers, and fleet operators.

MMPC attributed the achievement to sustained demand for its locally assembled completely knocked-down (CKD) models and ongoing kaizen initiatives implemented by its Manufacturing Division. These continuous improvement efforts focus on optimizing the production line, improving efficiency, and strengthening quality across all CKD units.
