There are numerous iconic brands that become legendary and synonymous with performance. That is the case for Ralliart, which is the tuning arm/group responsible for most of Mitsubishi’s success during its rallying days.

Most recently, one of the Ralliart brand’s last appearances on Philippine soil was the (extremely rare and sought-after) Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart. Which was essentially a slightly less extreme Mitsubishi Evolution X, shortly after the tuning brand seemingly disappeared.

Across the globe though, most notably in Thailand name lives on as an accessory pack for the Montero and Strada.

The return of Ralliart

Now it seems that Mitsubishi Motors Philippines want to cash in on the nostalgia. The manufacturer posted a teaser video on their Facebook page a few days ago saying “A Legendary Brand Will Return Soon”. The date at the end of the video clearly states a reveal during the 8th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS).

Apart from the statement, the video showcased various Ralliart vehicles competing across the sand dunes of what seemingly looks like the famed Paris Dakar rally.

While no details have been confirmed, we believe that the offerings locally will be purely aesthetic (like in Thailand). We can also probably expect accessory packs for the Montero Sport and Strada, who knows? we may even get a Ralliart variant for both vehicles.

One thing is for sure though, a lot is set to happen at PIMS, so If you’re a fan of the brand and others, we suggest you head on over. The 8th PIMS will be held from September 15-18, 2022 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
