Nissan Livina to make PH comback on September 6, 2022

A few weeks ago, a photo of a vehicle transport carrier was making the rounds on social media, and within reason. That transport carrier was transporting what looked to be the Nissan Livina.

At the time, it was all rumor, no confirmation from the brand was given as to when the exact launch date of the MPV would be. We finally have an answer though.

Nissan Livina Comeback Launch

Nissan Philippines Inc. (NPI) has finally confirmed that the Nissan Livina will be launched next week on September 6, 2022.

What makes this significant news is the fact that Nissan wants to foray again into the affordable 7-seater segment with a familiar nameplate.  What will also be interesting is what the Livina will have to offer, considering it shares the majority of its parts and platform with its alliance sibling; the Mitsubishi Xpander.

Nissan Livina Interior

It’s easy to see the resemblance, at least in terms of body style and shape. Although, the Nissan Livina of course follows Nissan’s design language, highlighted by the “V motion” front grille. Based on interior photos (of Nissan Indonesia), it seems that the Livina still uses the pre-facelifted interior of the Xpander.

Of course, nothing has been confirmed by Nissan in terms of specs and prices, but we expect it to have the same powertrain as the Mitsubishi Xpander, also if Nissan wants to be competitive it must undercut not only the Xpander but also the Veloz, Avanza, and BR-V in terms of pricing.
