The fleet consists of 117 Isuzu NPS units and 88 Isuzu FTS units. All trucks are configured with troop carrier bodies for transporting personnel, equipment, and cargo, including use in disaster response and recovery operations.

IPC said the delivery supports the government’s fleet modernization program and aims to improve the Army’s mobility and operational readiness nationwide. With units deployed nationwide, the new trucks are expected to enhance transport capability in both routine and critical missions.

The turnover ceremony was led by IPC Executive Vice President Yasuhiko Oyama and Major General Florante Piol Sison, Commander of the Army Support Command, along with other officials.

Oyama said the company continues to support institutions in the Philippines by providing transport solutions for national defense and public service.

What are the truck specifications and capabilities?

The Isuzu NPS and FTS trucks are equipped with 4×4 drivetrains to handle rough roads and off-road terrain, including remote and mountainous areas.

The NPS, part of Isuzu’s N-Series light-duty lineup, is powered by the 4HK1-TCN Blue Power diesel engine. It is designed to balance power and fuel efficiency while maintaining maneuverability in both urban and rural settings.

The FTS, from the F-Series medium-duty range, is built for heavier loads and long-distance operations. It uses the 6HK1-TCN engine, producing 240 PS and 706 Nm of torque, suited for steep inclines and rugged conditions.

All units are fitted with troop carrier bodies built by F. Cura Industries, designed for durability and sustained field use.

The company said the delivery reinforces its role in supporting government institutions through long-term transport solutions.
