It’s become quite the norm for Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) to launch new cars or variants quietly online as opposed to holding big events. The most recent is what we assume is an attempt to be competitive in the ever-growing (and highly competitive) HEV (hybrid) crossover segment.
Toyota Yaris Cross SE HEV
Say hello to the new variant of the Yaris Cross model, the SE HEV. The SE HEV immediately sets itself apart with a body kit that enhances the overall look, making the whole design seem more aggressive along with the blacked-out grille, and a black trim connecting both taillights.
Other upgrades include the digital rearview mirror, enhanced Pioneer sound system with a digital signal processor, and a front and rear camera recorder. Powertrain-wise, the Toyota Yaris Cross is still using the 2NR-VEX hybrid engine, making 111PS (combined). Safety is taken care of by the Toyota Safety Sense suite, complete with adaptive cruise control and other ADAS features.
