Porsche Philippines marked its 27th anniversary three months ago by unveiling the Cayenne SUV. In celebration of the brand’s 75th year, another exciting addition graces the local lineup—the 2024 Porsche Cayenne e-hybrid, an electrified iteration of Porsche’s highly acclaimed SUV.
Unveiled at the Porsche Festival of Dreams event, the Cayenne e-hybrid seamlessly integrates the extensive enhancements made to the third-generation Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) model, both aesthetically and functionally. To the casual observer, the Cayenne e-hybrid maintains an indistinguishable exterior from its ICE counterpart, with subtle distinctions such as neon green brake calipers and the e-hybrid badge on the fenders setting it apart.
Within the cabin, the Cayenne e-hybrid mirrors the tech-laden features of the ICE Cayenne. Embracing the advancements of the new Porsche Driver Experience, the vehicle boasts a revamped display and control system, complemented by a dashboard-relocated gear lever to accommodate the redesigned center console.
Under the hood, the Cayenne e-hybrid is propelled by a robust 300 hp 3.0-liter V6 turbo engine and an electric motor seamlessly integrated into the SUV’s 8-speed automatic transmission. The resultant plug-in hybrid powertrain delivers an impressive 463 hp and 650 Nm of torque, propelling the Cayenne e-hybrid from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds, with a top speed of 254 km/h.
In electric mode, the Cayenne e-hybrid boasts a remarkable range of up to 90 km, thanks to its 33.9 kWh battery pack. Charging is expedited with an 11 kW onboard AC charger, requiring a mere 2 hours and 15 minutes to reach full capacity.
President and CEO of Porsche Philippines, Roberto Coyiuto III, commented on the significance of the Cayenne e-hybrid’s introduction, emphasizing its role in the brand’s ongoing success narrative. He highlighted the model’s contribution to redefining luxury by intertwining environmental consciousness, personal well-being, and performance. The Cayenne e-hybrid is available in both SUV and coupe body styles, with pricing details accessible through application at Porsche Philippines dealerships, where the electrifying SUV is currently on display.
Looking ahead, the imminent establishment of the Porsche Center Manila, a state-of-the-art 15-story facility, promises an enhanced Porsche experience. This center will amalgamate showrooms, corporate offices, and service areas, accommodating future Porsche retail requirements and reinforcing the brand’s visual identity. Additionally, the facility will include a dedicated space for Porsche’s fully electric vehicles, underscoring the brand’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.
