Aside from the regular 4-Series, the BMW M4 Competition also received its LCI (Life Cycle Impulse) update and an additional power boost for the 2025 model. Despite retaining the same twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine, the base model maintains 473 hp, while the rear-wheel-drive Competition model continues with 503 hp. Opting for the all-wheel-drive M4 Competition xDrive enhances the power output by 20 hp, resulting in a total of 523 hp.

Acceleration figures remain impressive, with the standard M4 coupe achieving zero to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds using the six-speed manual transmission, while the rear-drive Competition model accomplishes it in 3.8 seconds. The M4 xDrive, despite the power increase, maintains a zero to 100 km/h time of 3.4 seconds in the coupe and 3.6 seconds in the convertible.

All M4 variants have a capped top speed of 350 km/h, but the optional M Driver’s package allows the Convertible to reach 280 km/h and the Coupe to hit 290 km/h.

The 2025 M4 showcases a refreshed exterior, featuring a new LED design for the headlights and laser-accented taillights. For those seeking a bold aesthetic, BMW offers the M Design exterior graphic, featuring a prominent center stripe in black or red on the hood and trunk lid, complemented by an M logo on the hood and slimmer accent lines on the body.

Inside, the M4 introduces a redesigned steering wheel with a flat-bottomed rim and modified spokes, now available in a special M Alcantara finish. The infotainment system is upgraded to BMW’s iDrive 8.5, featuring a 14.9-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The M4 comes standard with BMW’s Live Cockpit Professional system, including navigation and an M-specific head-up display.
