2024 Nissan Almera PH debut: Important specs, and price info you need to know

It’s finally here! After a pretty good amount of hype, the 2024 Nissan Almera has just made its PH debut. Nissan seems to be far from over from ending its 2023 calendar, and their new subcompact sedan is the latest to be added to its local lineup. We say “new” because it’s not “all-new”, but it does get added goodies aside from its aesthetic updates. Let’s have a look, yes?

Again, allow us to remind you that this is a refresh, a facelift if you will. That said, the Almera retains its overall shape. It did, however, get a revamped front end. Nissan’s V-Motion grill is still very much a part of this sedan, but instead of the V-shaped chrome and piano black pieces found in the outgoing model, this one now has horizontal slats. The shiny and black bits are still there, sans the honeycomb central grill, and the Nissan badge has been retained, too.

Colors available for all variants of the 2024 Almera are Brilliant Silver, Pearl White, and Galaxy Black. The VL variant can be had in Moon Pearl Gray and Fiery Cayenne Red are specific only for the VL variant, with Gun Metallic available for the VE and EL. The wheels are also different depending on the variant, with either 15″ or 16″ sets of steelies or alloys.

Inside we’ll find that not much has changed. Heck, in fact, nothing has changed in the 2024 Almera facelift. The materials and the layout all remain the same in this model. That said, you can expect the same amount of space and degree of comfort as that in the outgoing model. If you’re curious about how we found the space and ride of the Almera, you can read our review right here.

Perhaps the best-added feature for this new release is Nissan Connect Services. All for the sake of convenience, this allows for connectivity between your car and your mobile phone via an app. It features remote lock-unlock and even has an engine start function. You can also keep track of your Almera’s “health” and maintenance schedules through the app, which you can download on both Apple and Android devices. As this is a first for Nissan Philippines, Inc., buyers of the new Almera get a 3-year subscription to the service along with their vehicle purchase.

More tech and safety goodies added are Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in an 8″ infotainment system of the VE and VL variants, a wireless charging pad, high-beam assist, a tire pressure monitoring system, lane departure warning, and 6 SRS airbags.

The same engine powers the 2024 Almera. Under the hood is a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine that pumps out a decent 99 HP and 152 Nm of pull. Depending on the variant that a buyer would purchase, this can be mated to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or an Xtronic CVT. Expect the manual to have more torque at 160 Nm.

The brand’s proprietary Nissan Intelligent Mobility safety suite also comes with the Almera. Overall features available may vary depending on the variant, but the system includes forward-collision warning with autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, ABS with EBD, vehicle dynamic control, hill-start assist, and a 360-degree-view monitor.

So how much is the 2024 Almera? Their prices are as follows:

  • Almera 1.0 EL MT – PHP 839,000
  • Almera 1.0L VE CVT = PHP 1,059,000
  • Almera 1.0 VL CVT = PHP 1,149,000

If you ask us, that’s a pretty competitive price range across all variants. We all know that the subcompact sedan has an incredibly large market in the Philippines, and the release of the 2024 Almera at these prices may just give buyers a lot more choices when shopping for a new small sedan.

Watch out for our first drive and impressions of the 2024 Nissan Almera. As we speak, we’ve been behind the wheel for two days now, and trust us, that’s going to be a very interesting read!
