All-new Dodge Charger unveiled – Available in EV and ICE configurations

Dodge has unveiled its latest innovation in automotive muscle with the introduction of the all-new Dodge Charger, marking a significant step in the transition to electric power. The new Charger, which retains its title as the world’s fastest and most powerful muscle car, introduces electrified models alongside traditional gas-powered options.

The electrified lineup includes the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack, boasting 670 horsepower and an expected zero to 100 km/h acceleration in 3.3 seconds. Additionally, the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T offers 496 hp. Both models feature standard all-wheel drive.

Tim Kuniskis, CEO of Dodge, emphasized the performance capabilities of the new Charger, stating that the electrified version matches the performance of the Charger Hellcat Redeye. Gas-powered models, powered by the innovative Hurricane engine, provide superior horsepower and torque compared to previous models.

The electric Charger Daytona model production will begin in mid-2024, followed by the gas-powered versions in early 2025. The new Charger will be manufactured at the Windsor Assembly Plant in Ontario.

The introduction of electric and more efficient propulsion systems aligns with Stellantis’ Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan, aiming to reduce the global carbon footprint and achieve net carbon zero by 2038.

The all-new Dodge Charger is the first fully electrified muscle car, featuring a 400V propulsion system with all-wheel drive and instant torque response. The battery pack, designed for maximum acceleration, incorporates advanced technology to optimize performance.
