BYD Cars Philippines has launched the all-new BYD Atto 2 at the Trinoma Activity Center, expanding the brand’s New Energy Vehicle (NEV) lineup in the country. The Atto 2 is positioned as an accessible SUV intended to lower the cost of entry into electrified mobility for Filipino buyers.

“Our newest model, the BYD Atto 2 is proof that shifting to electric vehicles is a practical reality for the everyday Filipino driver,” said Bob Palanca, Managing Director of BYD Cars Philippines. “Whether you want to go full electric, or extend your range with a plug-in hybrid model built on BYD’s Super DM-i technology, the BYD Atto 2 makes the switch to go electric easy, whichever you choose.”

The Atto 2 is offered with two powertrain options: a full battery electric vehicle (BEV) and BYD’s Super DM-i plug-in hybrid system, the latter available in Premium and Dynamic variants. The EV variant has a pure electric range of up to 380 km. The DM-i Dynamic and Premium variants have an electric-only range of up to 45 km and a combined range of 1,340 km, based on an efficiency run conducted by BYD Cars Philippines in partnership with the Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP). Of course, these combined-range figures are not guaranteed, as actual results may vary depending on driving habits, traffic, road and weather conditions, vehicle load, battery condition, and other factors.

All Atto 2 variants use the BYD Blade Battery. The three variants share the same core safety features and SUV platform. The DM-i Premium variant is distinguished by additional comfort and convenience features and is the only variant equipped with DiPilot ADAS. The EV variant comes with a 12.8-inch touchscreen, while the DM-i models use a 10.1-inch display; both include smartphone connectivity.

The Atto 2 EV also comes with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, which allows the vehicle to power external electronics, appliances, and equipment.

BYD says the Atto 2 lineup has a competitive total cost of ownership, supported by an annual maintenance schedule.

From July 28 to August 31, 2026, all Atto 2 variants will carry promotional offers along with financing promos through BPI. Starting September 1, 2026, official SRPs will be set at PHP 1,338,000 for the Atto 2 EV, PHP 1,258,000 for the DM-i Premium, and PHP 1,048,000 for the DM-i Dynamic.

Each unit comes with an 8-year Drive Unit warranty, a 6-year or 160,000-km bumper-to-bumper warranty, and an 8-year or 160,000-km warranty on the BYD Blade Battery. The Atto 2 is available in Breeze Green (EV variant only), Harbour Grey, Midnight Blue, Ski White, and Cosmos Black (DM-i variants only).
The launch of the Atto 2 also opens the BYD Tech Tour at the Trinoma Activity Center until August 2.
