BYD Cars Philippines, under ACMobility, has turned over a ₱770,000 donation to the Healthway Foundation’s Cancer Care Hope Fund during a ceremony held on April 14, 2026, at the Healthway Cancer Care Hospital.

The donation came from the limited-edition BYD Seagull in the Seashell Pink campaign, which was launched in July 2025. The initiative was created to support the adoption of electric mobility while raising funds for cancer patients and their families.

The campaign exceeded its original target of 70 units sold by the end of 2025, reaching 77 units. Proceeds from the sales were allocated to the Cancer Care Hope Fund.

Bob Palanca, managing director of BYD Cars Philippines, said the initiative reflects ACMobility’s focus on community support and creating a positive impact beyond mobility.

“For us at BYD Cars Philippines, this effort embodies the community support that ACMobility stands for—malasakit. It is about going beyond what is expected and finding ways to create a positive impact in the communities we serve,” Palanca said.

Present during the turnover ceremony were Healthway Foundation Executive Director Chiqui Batac, Healthway Cancer Care Hospital Deputy COO Dr. Kaye Recto, Healthway Cancer Care Hospital COO Dr. Manuel Francisco Roxas, Healthway Medical Network President and CEO Jef Peeters, ACMobility PR and Communications Director Ana Melissa Suarez-Paras, and ACMobility–BYD Cars Philippines Marketing Director Jill Peña.

Jef Peeters, president and CEO of Healthway Medical Network, thanked BYD Cars Philippines and ACMobility for their support of the program.

“We are deeply grateful to BYD Cars Philippines and ACMobility for their meaningful support. At Healthway, we believe that cancer care goes beyond treatment—it is about caring for the whole patient, including the emotional, financial, and social challenges that come with the journey,” Peeters said.

He added that the Cancer Care Hope Fund helps patients gain access to timely treatment while reducing the financial burden on families.

The Cancer Care Hope Fund supports patients at Healthway Cancer Care Hospital, which the company describes as the Philippines’ first dedicated specialty cancer care facility. The fund aims to help ease treatment-related expenses so patients and their families can focus on recovery and long-term care.

BYD Cars Philippines said the partnership reflects its broader commitment to supporting programs that combine innovation, mobility, and improved access to healthcare for Filipinos.
