The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI), the exclusive distributor of Chevrolet automobiles and parts in the Philippines, has launched the Chevrolet Trax Premier in the Philippines.
The compact SUV sports a 1.4-liter turbocharged ECOTEC four-cylinder engine with 140 horsepower at 4,900-6,000 rpm and 200Nm of torque at 1,850-4,900 rpm. It is equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The Chevrolet Trax Premier comes in two variants: the Trax Premier LS and Trax Premier LT.
The Premier LT variant sports an 18-inch carbon gray rims, while the Premier LS has smaller rims at 16-inch. Both have a functional crossbar to optimize storage space, Chevrolet’s signature dual-port grille, chrome accents, and sculpted rear.
As for the interior, the compact SUV has a Cabin Air Ionizer keeping the air inside the vehicle free from harmful contaminants and a pre-installed HD dashcam to record drives for extra security. The dashcam can be connected through a smartphone to access the viewing via the control app. Moreover, it has a cargo tray to keep the trunk clean and protected from dirt, scratches, and spills.
The Trax Premier LT variant features a 7-inch touchscreen Chevrolet MyLink Infotainment System with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support to access music, messages, calls, and even map directions directly from the driver’s smartphone. The Premier LS variant, however, gets an upgraded 7-inch touchscreen display powered by Android.
Both variants have eight different seating configurations and can carry items up to eight feet long. It can offer up to a maximum of 1,375 liters of cargo space with folded rear seats. Furthermore, it is geared with safety features such as six airbags, Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Cornering Brake Control, Traction Control System, Rear Wheel Boost, Roll Over Mitigation, Panic Brake Assist, Straight Line Stability, Engine Drag Control, Hill Start Assist, and Hill Descent Control.
This vehicle is supported by the Chevrolet Complete Care Program that offers coverage of five years or 100,000 km, whichever comes first, access to the 24/7 Customer Care Hotline, and automatic enrollment to the 24/7 Chevrolet Emergency Roadside Support for three years. Owners have the option to renew it on the 4th year of ownership.
The Chevrolet Trax Premier LT is priced at PHP 1,535,888 while the LS variant retails at PHP 1,185,888. It is available in six color options: Pull Me Over Red, Seeker Metallic, Black Meet Kettle, Summit White, Abalone White Tri-coat, and Switchblade Silver.
The Trax Premier is offered for an all-in downpayment as low as PHP 38,000 for the top of the line LT variant and PHP 58,0000 for the base LS variant with 0% interest up to 48 months at a 30% downpayment until October 31, 2020.
