DOTr and Marina announces new ferry routes between Cavite, Metro Manila

The Department of Transportation (DOTr), in partnership with the Maritime Industry Authority (Marina), has announced that they will be opening new ferry routes between Cavite and Metro Manila.

These new routes will begin operation in phases, the first of which is expected to start by the first week of December. The phases are as follows:

  • Phase 1 – Metro Star Ferry Terminal (Cavite City Hall) / Sangley Port to SM MOA Ferry Terminal
  • Phase 1 – Metro Star Ferry Terminal (Cavite City Hall) / Sangley Port to CCP Port
  • Phase 2 – Metro Star Ferry Terminal (Cavite City Hall) / Sangley Port to Escolta, Manila
  • Phase 2 – Metro Star Ferry Terminal (Cavite City Hall) / Sangley Port to Lawton Ferry Terminal

Shogun Ships Co., Starlite Ferries, Seaborne Shipping Lines, and Pinoy Catamaran Co have also shown interest in joining the operation of said new routes.
