Hidekazu Arai is the new President of Honda Philippines

Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) has announced the appointment of Hidekazu Arai as its new president, effective April 1, 2026. He will replace Rie Miyake, who will take on a new role at Honda Motor Co., Ltd.

Arai brings nearly 20 years of global experience within Honda. Prior to his appointment, he served as Chief Administrator of the Business Planning Department at the company’s global headquarters in Japan. He also held key roles at American Honda Motor Co., Inc. and the Saitama Factory.

His background includes business planning, finance, and electrification strategy. At HCPI, Arai is expected to focus on expanding Honda’s electrification efforts and strengthening the brand’s position in the Philippine market. This includes improving business operations and maintaining product value and customer service standards.

Arai succeeds Miyake as Honda continues its efforts to provide mobility solutions for Filipino customers.
