Kia Philippines has been quiet as of late, with the last new model launch being the updated Seltos a few months back.
Kia PH teasing all-new model launch
The Korean automaker has been posting teasers on its official Facebook page in the past few days, showing glimpses of a new model. The posts aren’t giving anything away in terms of design, but some reports have already speculated that the new model could be a small crossover called the Sonet.
The Kia Sonet’s front grille is very similar to the one found in the teaser above, but that’s pretty much all we’ve got to guess what the model is. What exactly is the Sonnet though? Basically it is a smaller crossover that still very much looks like the bigger Seltos.
In terms of specifications, none have been revealed yet, but it could be powered by a 1.5-liter non-turbocharged gasoline engine making around 115 hp.
Pricing could be around PHP 800,000-1,100,000 in order to be really competitive in the segment. So if you’re in the market for a small crossover, maybe wait till June when Kia officially pulls the covers off this model.
