Lamborghini Manila under PGA Cars has officially launched the Urus SE, its first plug-in hybrid SUV, in the Philippines a year after its global debut at Auto China Beijing 2024. This marks a significant milestone in the brand’s history, introducing electrification to the Urus lineup while boosting performance and efficiency.

The Urus SE is powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine paired with a permanent-magnet synchronous electric motor, producing a combined 789 hp (800 CV) and 950 Nm of torque. This makes it the most powerful and fastest Urus ever, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and reaching a top speed of 312 km/h.

A new 25.9-kWh lithium-ion battery allows the SE to run on pure electric power for more than 60 kilometers, making it suitable for short city commutes without emissions. The electric motor is integrated within the 8-speed automatic transmission and can power all four wheels independently, giving the Urus SE full EV capabilities in 4WD mode.

The hybrid system introduces a new electric torque vectoring system and electronic rear differential, enhancing handling and traction across various road and off-road surfaces. The result is improved agility, power delivery, and responsiveness in all conditions.

Lamborghini has also updated the Urus design for better aerodynamic efficiency. Changes include a redesigned front hood, new headlight clusters with matrix LED technology, a sportier rear diffuser, and a spoiler that increases rear downforce by 35%. Airflow management has been improved by 30% for the braking system and 15% for engine cooling.

The Urus SE features a revised dashboard and center console, a new 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a larger central touchscreen running the updated Lamborghini Infotainment System (LIS). The cabin design continues to follow the brand’s aviation-inspired “feel like a pilot” philosophy, with new materials and finishes for a more refined and sporty experience.

The SE offers 11 driving modes, including six existing ones (Strada, Sport, Corsa, Neve, Sabbia, Terra) and four new hybrid-specific modes (EV Drive, Hybrid, Performance, Recharge). These modes adjust the vehicle’s air suspension, steering, powertrain behavior, and even engine sound to match various driving conditions and preferences.

With the Urus SE, Lamborghini opens up a new segment in the Super SUV category, offering Philippine customers a blend of supercar performance, electrified efficiency, daily usability, and coding exemption. This combination reflects the brand’s evolving direction in the era of hybrid mobility.
