Good news for commuters! The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) announced that the Libre Sakay EDSA Busway Carousel program is set to continue until July 31, 2022.
Libre Sakay EDSA Busway Carousel Program Details
According to the LTFRB, the extended program will be available daily starting from 4 am until 11 pm.
A total of 203,639,626 passengers had benefited from the program since phase 1. That phase had a total of 65,256 participating public utility vehicles, 4,461 open routes, and 2,197 participating corporations and cooperatives nationwide.
Under the program, operators and drivers also received benefits based on the number of trips they made weekly.
