LTFRB orders provisional PHP 9 jeepney fare rollback

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has ordered a provisional rollback of jeepney fares to PHP 9.00 for NCR and Regions 3 and 4.

In November, the LTRFRB approved the PHP 10.00 minimum fare hike. With the order, the minimum fare becomes PHP 9.00 for the first 4 kilometers for NCR, and Regions 3 and 4.

The order was issued due to the recent fuel price cuts. The rollback is provisional or temporary, and operators will not be required to secure a fare matrix before implementing the new fare.
