We might get the Nissan 400z in PH this year

We all know that the current Nissan GT-R and 370 Z took quite a while to make their way over here to the Philippines. So when the new 400 Z was unveiled to the world, we all resigned ourselves to the fact that it would take a few years for it to be sold locally.

We could be wrong though because the local executives have just teased something big.

Nissan 400z in PH by 2023?

During the recently concluded Nissan Philippines Media Thanksgiving dinner, NPI president Juan Manuel Hoyos was of course tasked to address the media.

Apart from rounding up Nissans success’ during the calendar year of 2022, he also laid out the brand’s plans for the upcoming year. The most exciting of which was when he said 2 new models are sure to be launched, with them wanting to bring back ‘Performance’ and ‘Speed’ to its customers. Performance and speed eh? that sounds like the 400 Z’s expertise.

This announcement is a teaser, so no other details have been given. Although, the 400z made its global debut in August of 2021 and it t comes with a new3.0-liter VR30DDTT twin-turbo V6 capable of 400hp and 474Nm of torque and is mated to either a six-speed manual or a nine-speed automatic tranny.

It has since then captured the minds and hearts of many Z and sports car fans the world over. While we are speculating, we certainly think that given the recent success of other brands’ performance vehicle sales locally, Nissan is probably planning to get a piece of that pie.

Till then, let’s keep our fingers crossed.
