The Defender OCTA is finally in the Philippines after much anticipation

The name “OCTA” is inspired by the octahedral structure of diamonds, symbolizing durability and strength. This theme extends to its design details, including a new encircled diamond emblem on each Signature Graphic panel, featuring a gloss black diamond within a machined and sandblasted titanium disc.

Powering the Defender OCTA is a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged mild-hybrid V8 engine, producing 626 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque with up to 800 Nm on Dynamic Launch Mode. Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and high/low range gearing, it accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in just 4.0 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250 km/h (limited) when fitted with 22-inch wheels and all-season tires.

For the first time in a Defender, the OCTA features 6D Dynamics suspension, a hydraulically linked system designed to reduce pitch and body roll while enhancing off-road articulation. The suspension geometry has been significantly revised, with a 28mm increase in ride height and a 68mm wider stance. Components such as longer wishbones, active dampers, and 400mm Brembo front brakes have been added for improved performance and control.

The Defender OCTA introduces a new OCTA Mode for performance-oriented off-road driving, enabling Off-Road Launch and a recalibrated ABS for loose surfaces. This complements existing Terrain Response modes for sand, mud, snow, and rock, alongside technologies like ClearSight Ground View for enhanced visibility.

Defender OCTAThe Defender OCTA features 33-inch Goodyear Advanced All-Terrain tires, the largest ever fitted to a production Defender. This necessitates extended wheel arches and a revised front fascia for improved airflow. Underbody protection includes an aluminum front shield with a graphite finish and exposed recovery points in Phosphorous Bronze.
