Hyundai Motor Company has unveiled the IONIQ 6 N at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed, marking the next phase in its electrified performance strategy. This is a few months after confirming the model alongside the launch of the facelifted IONIQ 6 at the 2025 Seoul Mobility Show. As the second fully electric model under the Hyundai N division, the IONIQ 6 N follows the IONIQ 5 N and further reinforces the brand’s ambition to combine electrification with high-performance engineering.

The IONIQ 6 N is powered by a dual-motor setup producing up to 640 hp (478 kW) and 770 Nm of torque when using its N Grin Boost function. This allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a scant 3.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 257 km/h. A newly developed N Battery management system enhances thermal performance and battery preconditioning for consistent track use, including drag, sprint, and endurance scenarios.

To support its performance capabilities, the IONIQ 6 N features a reengineered chassis and fully redesigned suspension geometry. New stroke-sensing electronic dampers enable precise tuning for varying road and track conditions. The car maintains road comfort while improving high-speed stability and cornering grip. Aerodynamic features such as a swan neck rear wing and wider fenders improve both downforce and visual presence, while a drag coefficient of 0.27 contributes to overall efficiency.

Hyundai has also incorporated advanced software to heighten driver engagement. The N e-Shift system mimics traditional gear shifts, adding to the tactile experience, while N Active Sound+ delivers synthetic soundscapes through a stereo sound system. These sound modes include Ignition, Evolution, and Lightspeed, each providing a distinct auditory experience. The vehicle also includes performance tools such as N Launch Control, N Drift Optimizer, N Grin Boost, and a customizable torque distribution system. A track data management system called N Track Manager allows users to log and analyze performance through real-time data and ghost racing visuals.

Inside, the cabin includes an N Ambient Shift Light that signals optimal shift points through interior lighting cues, adding a visual layer to the driving experience. The interior is finished in black with Performance Blue accents. The IONIQ 6 N rides on 20-inch HN-marked Pirelli P-Zero 5 tires and is equipped with a four-piston 400 mm front braking system and a 360 mm single-piston rear setup. With 350 kW DC fast charging, the battery can charge from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 18 minutes under ideal conditions. Hyundai has not yet announced the official driving range, which will be disclosed during regional launches.

The IONIQ 6 N is presented in several colors, including a newly developed Performance Blue Pearl finish. Additional shades include Abyss Black Pearl, Serenity White Pearl, Nocturne Gray Metallic, Nocturne Gray Matte, and Gravity Gold Matte.
At the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the IONIQ 6 N is being showcased alongside other N models, including the IONIQ 5 N, IONIQ 5 N TA Spec, i30 N, RN24, and Hyundai’s WRC entries. A synchronized demonstration run titled “N Moment” is scheduled for July 10, featuring the entire N lineup, with the IONIQ 6 N taking part in its first dynamic public showing.

Hyundai has also confirmed the availability of N Performance Parts developed for the IONIQ 6 N. These components draw from Hyundai’s motorsport experience and allow for further customization of the vehicle’s appearance and dynamics.
The IONIQ 6 N serves as Hyundai’s latest effort to push the boundaries of electric vehicle performance, blending track-focused engineering with road-ready usability.
