Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has introduced the new Mitsubishi Versa Van, marking the return of a long-running nameplate known locally for durability, versatility, and dependable performance. The model is positioned as a practical transport solution for organizations and businesses that move passengers daily.

The Versa Van traces its heritage to the Mitsubishi Delica platform, which was designed to carry both passengers and cargo. The model line first appeared in the Philippines in 1987 as the L300 cab chassis. The original Versa Van variant later became widely used by Filipino families and transport operators. The new version has been updated to meet current passenger transport requirements while retaining its core focus on durability and usability.

The new Versa Van is primarily designed as a people mover for small to medium-sized enterprises. Target users include tourism transport operators, school service providers, and companies offering employee or guest shuttle services. MMPC said the van’s spacious interior, practical layout, and diesel engine are intended to support daily business operations. If you are wondering why the latest Mitsubishi Versa looks oddly familiar is because it is the exact same vehicle as the Nissan NV350 for sale right now.

Power comes from a 2.5-liter diesel engine producing 129 PS at 3,200 rpm and 356 Nm of torque from 1,400 to 2,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The setup is intended to handle frequent stop-and-go driving and fully loaded passenger conditions. The van has seating for up to 15 occupants, including the driver.

The vehicle was designed with serviceability in mind. Key maintenance components are positioned for easier access, helping reduce service time and vehicle downtime.

Inside, the Versa Van focuses on passenger comfort and usability. It features adjustable seats with foldable seating for easier passenger movement, and improved entry and exit routes. Ceiling-mounted air outlets are installed for each seat row to provide consistent airflow across the cabin.

The model also offers increased luggage capacity. A larger rear door opening is designed to make loading and unloading cargo easier, which may benefit tourism and shuttle operations.

In the Philippines, the Mitsubishi Versa Van is offered in a single GLX MT variant priced at ₱1,649,000. Available colors include Silver Metallic and White Solid.

MMPC said the reintroduction of the Versa Van supports its goal of providing durable, practical vehicles for Filipino businesses and continues Mitsubishi’s long-standing presence in the local commercial vehicle segment.
