Water Jeepneys connect Manila to Cavite in 20mins

Starting tomorrow, December 8, 2019, the new ferry routes from Cavite to Manila are now open to the public.

Author’s update: It was announced yesterday that the MV Island Sabtang passengers will get free rides until January 31, 2020.

There are two ferries or Water Jeepneys that are in transit. MB Seaborne Mercury will travel from the CCP Port in Manila to Cavite City Port terminal near Cavite City hall while MV Island Sabtang will travel from the Cavite City Port terminal to the Lawton port. The schedule and fare prices of the MB Seaborne Mercury is as follows:

  • Regular / Adult – PHP 200
  • Student – PHP 160
  • Senior Citizen – PHP 143
  • Child (4-11 years old) – PHP 125

The schedule and fare prices of the MV Island Sabtang is as follows:

  • Regular / Adult – PHP 160
  • Student – PHP 128
  • Senior Citizen / PWD – PHP 114
  • Child (0-3 years old) – FREE
  • Child (4-11 years old) – PHP 80

DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade has also announced that MB Seaborne Mercury ferry rides from December 9, 2019, to January 9, 2020, and MV Island Sabtang ferry rides from December 9, 2019, to January 31, 2020, will be free of charge.     May I please inquire that if I am going to Manggahan in Cavite using Seaborne water jeep, what will be my route if already in the cavite port?

  2. I think price should be HIGH during rush hours para selected passengers lang makasakay at hndi mababoy agad.

    At kapag MADAMI nang bangka, un mga low-end regular designed ferries na, dyan lang dapat ibaba to presyong pang masa- tulad sa Bangkok, very effective & cost efficient operation.

    Dahil kung hndi, matutulad lang yan sa MRT, nakakawalang gana. ?
