Through its distributor United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (UAAGI), BAIC Philippines has introduced its first local hybrid SUV, the BAIC B30e Dune, at the SM Mall of Asia. This new model is the most affordable off-roader in BAIC’s lineup, following the B40 Ragnar, B60 Beaumont, and B80 Wagon.

The B30e Dune Hybrid is available in two variants: 4×2 and 4×4. It will be showcased at the BAIC Base Camp in SM Mall of Asia from September 19 to 22, with a special performance by brand ambassador Ian Veneracion on September 21.
The vehicle is powered by a Dual Motor Smart Hybrid System (single motor for the 4×2 variant), paired with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine. The 4×2 variant generates 329 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque, while the 4×4 produces 403 horsepower and 685 Nm of torque. The 4×4 version can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in a scant 6.9 seconds.
Designed for off-road use, the B30e Dune Hybrid features Real-Time Intelligent Hybrid 4-Wheel Drive, a 7-mode All Terrain System (Comfort, Sport, Economy, Snow, Sand, Muddy Road, Wading), and 215 mm of ground clearance. Both variants have 19-inch alloy wheels, an approach angle of 24.5 degrees, a departure angle of 30 degrees, and a wading depth of 450 mm.
The spacious interior offers a 2,820 mm wheelbase, heated and cooled front seats, a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, and a 14.6-inch central display with screen mirroring. The cargo bed can hold up to 1,496 liters of space, and a foldable picnic table is included for added utility.
The B30e Dune Hybrid also features a comprehensive Level 2 Advanced Driver Assist System (ADAS) with cruise control, blind spot monitoring, lane assist, emergency braking, and a 360-degree camera system.
Both variants have leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, adaptive cruise control, and full LED lighting. A 5-year or 150,000-kilometer warranty backs the vehicle. Pricing starts at P1,588,000 for the 4×2 variant and P1,888,000 for the 4×4, with a P100,000 discount available until September 30, 2024.
