Porsche Philippines has officially launched the most advanced version of its most iconic model: the all-new 911 Carrera GTS T-Hybrid, now available nationwide. This groundbreaking model marks a historic milestone as the first street-legal Porsche 911 to feature a performance-oriented hybrid system, ushering in a bold new local era for the beloved sports car.

A newly developed 3.6-liter boxer engine powers the new 911 Carrera GTS T-Hybrid, mated to an innovative T-Hybrid system, combining the best of combustion and electrification. The result: 533 hp, 610 Nm of torque, and a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 3.0 seconds. It doesn’t stop there, either. The GTS can reach a top speed of 312 km/h, placing it firmly in supercar territory.

A standout feature of the T-Hybrid is its electric exhaust gas turbocharger—a world-first for the 911. Positioned between the turbine and compressor wheels, an integrated electric motor spins up the turbo instantly, eliminating lag and providing an immediate boost. This motor also acts as a generator, reclaiming energy from the exhaust gas to produce up to 15 hp of electric power.

Unlike traditional turbos, this one doesn’t need a wastegate, simplifying the setup and enabling sharper throttle response.

In addition to the electric turbocharger, a permanent magnet synchronous motor is embedded within the eight-speed PDK (dual-clutch) transmission. This motor can deliver up to 150 Nm of torque and 40 kW of additional power at low speeds or idle, enhancing drivability and responsiveness.

These motors draw power from a lightweight, 1.9 kWh high-voltage battery operating at 400 volts, carefully placed to optimize weight distribution and maintain Porsche’s signature handling dynamics.

The 3.6-liter engine features VarioCam camshaft control and rocker-arm valve actuation, helping it maintain a perfect fuel-air mix under all driving conditions. A larger bore and stroke bring displacement up by 600 cc over the previous model, generating 478 hp and 570 Nm of torque from the engine alone. For context, the former 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged engine produced 471 hp and 570 Nm of torque.

Despite the hybrid hardware, the car only gains 50 kg over its predecessor and offers more response and power across the rev range.

Porsche’s engineering efforts have translated into real-world results: the new 911 Carrera GTS T-Hybrid is 8.7 seconds faster around the Nürburgring Nordschleife than the previous generation GTS. Additional active aerodynamic enhancements are key to achieving these gains and ensuring this GTS is the most capable yet.
With the launch of the all-new 911 Carrera GTS T-Hybrid, Porsche Philippines is setting a new standard in high-performance motoring while retaining daily ability. Oh, and did we mention this is coding-exempt as well? The price is available upon request at your nearest Porsche dealership.
