Transport groups are at it again with an impending 3-day strike opposing the PUVMP. As such, the MMDA has decided to suspend Number Coding or the UVVRP tomorrow, November 20, to allow motorists to travel freely to and from their destinations.
Number Coding suspended due to Transport Strike planned for the next 3 days

Reports earlier this week have confirmed that transport group PISTON will be pushing through with a strike; again. Starting tomorrow, they have organized a 3-day protest against the Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program or PUVMP. From costs to franchise ownership, a good number of details do not sit well with transport cooperatives, and halting public transportation is their way of making it known to the government, particularly to the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board.

For those asking, Makati has announced that Coding in their City will not be suspended. This should come as no surprise given that the city has its own laws and regulations from that of the normal MMDA Number Coding, so please be warned that you cannot use your coded vehicle in Makati tomorrow from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Very recently, the same group had organized a protest, but according to the MMDA, it did not have its desired effect to “cripple” public transport. The Metro Manila Development Authority is not taking any chances, though, and saw fit to suspend Number Coding tomorrow, November 20, if more members of the transport groups join the transport strike this time.
The agency has advised motorists to expect more traffic given that vehicles including those that are supposed to be “coded” tomorrow can freely travel.
That said, drive safely out there, everyone.
