To be implemented in batches, the 2nd will take effect today, and for your reference, the Toll Regulatory Board has released information on the added toll plazas that will be resorting to no-contact collection of toll fees.

It is worth noting that the added toll plazas for the 2nd phase of the Contactless Toll Collection dry run all use the Autosweep RFID tag. A more comprehensive list of all the plazas that will eventually be added can be found in our previous article 13.
As added information, plazas not yet included in the dry run will continue collecting tolls using both RFID tags and cash (via cash lanes). Those who will need to enter participating plazas but do not have RFID tags yet will be directed by personnel to a place where they can pay with cash and subsequently, as the TRB says, “persuaded” to have RFID installed.
This notwithstanding, everyone is encouraged to have their tags installed beforehand to help in faster-moving lines at the plazas.
Please, feel free to share this with everyone, especially those who take expressways daily. Knowledge is power, and in this care, sharing is definitely caring.
If you’re looking at having RFID tags installed on your vehicle(s), you can use our Guide To RFID Installation Sites 32 as a reference.
