As the 8th Philippine International Motor Show draws near, manufacturers have been slowly giving ideas as to which vehicles will be displayed. Given that the theme for this year’s PIMS is “Mobility + Humanity”, most are expecting brands to reveal their plans for an EV future locally.
Kia EV6 to debut at PIMS
We can confirm that Kia is one brand that wants to join the local EV race. The Korean automaker has announced that the Kia EV6 will be showcased during the 8th PIMS.
“We are poised to let our show-goers witness our cutting-edge lineup,” says Kia Philippines president Manny Aligada. “We also want to open a window to the future and share with the Filipino public our vision of what to expect from Kia in the coming years. We will do this by offering an immersion into the charging ecosystem of our Kia EV6 electric vehicle, to demonstrate that it is packed with surprises and is more than just a car. And true to our ‘Movement that Inspires’ tagline, our visitors will get to experience our interactive digital art display that unifies our futuristic and relevant Kia showcase.”
The Interactive Motion Wall is a digital art installation that is triggered by motion sensors. Artistic interpretations of land, ocean, and air will be distilled into their essence and translated into digital animation masterpieces that will evoke inspiration through their sense of movement.
With the Interactive Motion Wall setting the expressive mood and imaginative atmosphere, taking center stage is the Kia EV6. It is an award-winning electric vehicle that was launched globally in 2021.
Apart from the EV6, the brand will also be displaying the Sorento, Carnival, Soluto, and Stonic Style Edition. As an added bonus for customers who will be attending PIMS 2022, partner Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) will provide hassle-free assistance and a special promotion wherein customers can save up to P171,000 worth of waived chattel mortgage fees and insurance premiums for the first year of the loan.
At the rate things are going, if you’re curious about EVs, you won’t want to miss the 8 PIMS this September 15-18, 2022.
