All new Honda BR-V breaks cover at PIMS 2022

It’s finally here! After a long period of teasers and its debut in other ASEAN countries, the Honda BR-V finally breaks cover in the Philippines. Honda’s best-selling 7-seater MPV finally gets an all-new model and after its preview at PIMS 2022, we might not have to wait too long to have it in PH showrooms.

Since it was introduced in the country in 2016, the BR-V quickly became one of Honda’s best-selling models. As the most potent choice in its class, it also features a stylish design, space enough for 7, and advanced features that focus on comfort, versatility, and safety.

The 2023 model takes it to another level, sporting a new look while being bigger and higher than its predecessor. Honda gave no specific details, but the BR-V being offered in other countries comes in 4 variants and with a manual transmission or a CVT. We can most likely expect the same 1.5-liter engine to make its way here, though.

Perhaps the biggest draw of the BR-V, though is the inclusion of a slew of safety features with the top-of-the-line Honda Sensing suite capping off the Prestige Type variant.

Among the 4 vehicles in the Honda display at PIMS, the BR-V also gets the Honda Sensing safety suite. Aligned with the theme “Joyful, Safer World”, this aligns with Honda’s plan to integrate the Honda SENSING as a standard safety feature in all models in the future. The Honda SENSING demonstrates Honda’s commitment to realizing “Safety for Everyone” so that everyone sharing the road can safely and confidently enjoy the freedom of mobility.

Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. has been mum about the details of their new and incoming 7-seater MPV, but if they play their cards right and price the BR-V as competitively as they have since its first release, it could well be on its way to being another top-seller for the brand.
