The Volkswagen brand in the Philippines has enjoyed its share of ups and downs, but it continues to have a strong presence in the local market. So much so that they’ve decided to experiment and introduce a rather interesting new vehicle/variant.
Volkswagen Cross Santana
Enter the VW Cross Santana 180 MPI AT, which is basically a Santana GTS but with black cladding added to the body for a more rugged appeal, blacked-out rims, and a roof rail. Last but not least is the increased ride height (no information yet on how high it was raised.
The Cross Santana gets the same 1.5-liter MPI 4-cylinder engine that produces 110 PS and 150 Nm of torque, the transmission option is a 6-speed automatic driving the front wheels. Safety features include 6 SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, an electronic stability program, and rear parking sensors with a rear camera.
The Volkswagen Cross Santana is yours for only P1,098,000. Which is quite an affordable price point for what it offers.
