This is Lamborghini’s first ever hybrid V12; the Revuelto

The famous supercar and hypercar maker Lamborghini is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, and to commemorate that the brand is embracing the future by introducing its new halo supercar; the 2024 Revuelto.

What is significant about the Revuelto is the fact that it will be the brand’s first-ever plug-in hybrid supercar and is actually the official successor of the Aventador.

The Lamborghini Revuelto is powered by the brand’s all-new L545 6.5-liter V12 engine, which is supposed to be the lightest and most powerful lump they have ever made. It makes 825 HP and 725 Nm of torque and is also helped by three electric motors for a total output of 1,015 HP.

Apart from this it also has an electric four-wheel drive, energy meanwhile is stored in a 3.8-kWh lithium-ion battery that’s charged either by regenerative braking, directly by the engine, or via a household outlet. Its transmission is an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The panels comprising the engine bay of the Revuelto come from a new architecture and aeronautics-inspired design, the mono fuselage. The entire monocoque is made from carbon fiber.

Lookswise it is unmistakably a Lambo, but the Revuelto has an identity like nothing else that has come before it, it does not pay homage to any other car. What is striking is the Y-shaped LED daylight running lights, but the overall design looks more streamlined and tightly packaged compared to the bulbous Aventador that came before it.

Despite that, the brand claims that the interior space is significantly more than before, while also going with a philosophy of mixing both digital and physical. The driver has a 12.3-inch digital cockpit display, while the passenger has a 9.1-inch display. This model makes do without most physical controls. Instead, it introduces the “swipe” function allowing both occupants to move applications and information from the center display to the side displays like a smartphone.

This wouldn’t be a Lamborghini were it not fully customizable as well, with over 400 exterior colors and 70 interior color choices.
