BMW spearheads the luxury electric revolution with the iX at PIMS 2022

The Philippine International Motor Show for 2022 is in full swing, and BMW breaks its 4-year hiatus and charges right back in. The German brand’s mantra – the “Future of Mobility” – is directly in line with the Show’s theme of Mobility + Humanity, and how are they showing it? With nothing less than a full showcase of their vehicles, and with the iX as its centerpiece.

After 4 years, the brand’s official distributor in the Philippines SMC Asia Car Distributors Corp. has announced BMW’s return to the Philippine International Motor Show. For the duration of the Show, they will be showcasing a full vehicle lineup as well as revealing what the market can expect from their all-out direction towards the “Future of Mobility”.

Of course, they picked out their newest and dare we say it one of their most attractive vehicles in the lineup to lead the electric charge: the iX. Created as a flagship of electric mobility, the iX combines high-quality premium features with state-of-the-art technologies that allow its driver and passenger to experience comfort, speed, efficient travel, and luxury.

“Electric vehicles are gaining traction in the Philippines as a long-term solution to sustainable mobility. At BMW, we have long recognized this. Now that the iX is now available in the Philippines, the market can expect BMW in the Philippines more electrification to come,” Spencer Yu, President of SMC Asia Car Distributors Corp.

“We’re not only aiming for a greener future. As part of the San Miguel Group, we are also prioritizing EV education and setting up the proper infrastructure to ensure that we are creating a good foundation for what lies ahead,” Yu later added.

Aside from an exciting vehicle range on display, their booth will also feature a lounge, play corner, and Lifestyle Merchandise area for the young and young at heart alike. While most think and believe that BMW is “in a league of its” – and perhaps it is – the fact is that it is a brand that wishes to cater to all who want to experience what and how it is to drive and own one of their vehicles.

The 8th PIMS at the World Trade Center in Pasay City runs from September 15 to 18, 2022 (Thursday to Sunday), so make sure you don’t miss the BMW booth and see how they plan to make their customers experience “the joy of driving” while promoting a clean, sustainable, fast, and luxurious automotive future with the iX.
