Ford Philippines reveals Ranger, Territory as its best-selling vehicles in 2020

Ford Philippines has recently revealed its strengthened leadership in the pickup and small SUV segments, with the strong sales of its Ranger and Territory vehicles in 2020.

Full-year sales for the Ranger 4×4 pickup portfolio figured 5,093 vehicles or 52% of the total 9,767 Ranger sales in 2020. This pushed Ford’s overall market share to 24% in the pickup segment, obtaining Ranger’s position as one of the two best-selling pickups in the market last year.

Ford currently offers a 4×4 variant for the Ranger XLS, FX4, and Wildtrak, including the Ranger Raptor, in its pickup portfolio. Last year, Ford Philippines expanded its truck portfolio with the launch of the new Ranger FX4 and a 4×4 variant.

On the other hand, the Ford Territory emerges as the best-selling small SUV, accumulating 1,925 vehicles sold, or 33%, within a 5-month selling period. The Ford-engineered and designed SUV further boosts Ford’s SUV portfolio. Further expanding its SUV and pickup segments in the country, Ford also launched the Everest Trend, Everest Sport, and F-150 full-size pickup last year.

The continued demand for Ford vehicles in the country further drives us to bring segment-leading vehicles that are relevant to the needs of the Filipino driving public, now and in the future,” Managing Director of Ford Philippines, PK Umashankar stated.

Meanwhile, the brand’s fourth-quarter sales surged by 36% from the previous quarter, while December sales grew by 30% compared to the previous month. This delivers full-year retail sales of 14,775 vehicles.
