Big fuel price rollback for diesel tomorrow, minimal for gas, PHP 2.80 and PHP 0.75, respectively

The new year didn’t start as happily as we wanted. Last week, fuel prices went up by a hefty PHP 2.90 for gas and PHP 2.10 for diesel. This week brings better news, though, as pump prices for both are set to go down. Times of price adjustments will vary across different fuel providers, but gas prices will be reduced by PHP 0.75 and diesel by PHP 2.80 per liter tomorrow, January 10, 2023.

Prices of both gasoline and diesel fuel prices go down tomorrow

Last week was greeted by a collective groan when pump prices had a significant hike. This week, though, it’s good news for both private and public vehicle owners because fuel prices are set for a rollback. Although gasoline won’t go down as significantly as diesel, every reduction in prices per liter is always welcome news, especially after all the expenses most of us had over the holidays.

Everyone hopes that fuel price rollbacks keep on, well, rolling. Many don’t exactly have much of a choice but to take motor vehicles for their travels, and whether these are privately owned (with owners themselves shouldering top-up costs) or publicly run (with constant hikes possibly leading to fare increases, eventually), every centavo saved is a centavo earned, so to speak.

It’s a whole new year, and as such, we bring you some fuel-saving tips that may help you get the best out of your tank of gas. All of us need to recoup our expenses one way or another, so let’s make the best of the fuel price rollbacks while we can.

Drive safely out there, ladies and gents!
