Fuel price increase for 2nd week in a row, gas up PHP 1.35, diesel by PHP 0.45

While everyone was busy with yesterday’s SONA, fuel prices increased yet again. For the 2nd week now, both gasoline and diesel get a hike per liter, with the former going up by PHP 1.35 and the latter by PHP 0.45. As you read this, most brands have already updated their stations’ pump prices, but as always, one particular player gives us a little more time to enjoy last week’s lower prices.

Today’s fuel price increase has again gone beyond PHP 1 for gasoline. Fortunately for diesel, that gets a conservative PHP 0.45 bump up in prices. Prices globally remain in constant flux, so there’s no telling what fuel product will get a price hike. Regardless, though, motorists are still going to begrudge filling tanks this week, for sure.

There is some good news for those who may be using a specific brand, and that is Cleanfuel. Per their common “practice”, they will update their pumps’ fuel price at 4:01 PM. That gives their loyal and faithful a few more hours to get fuel at the same price per liter as last week.

Everyone was quite busy with the State of the Nation Address yesterday, and sadly, we don’t exactly bring good news as far as the price of gas and diesel go starting today. As always, just try to plan your travels properly and keep a light foot on the gas. If this trend continues, we might just have another price hike next week. But we really hope we don’t.

For your entertainment and perusal, here are some fuel-saving tips we’ve compiled for our readers. We hope that getting into these may help all of you get the most out of every drop of fuel you put in your fuel tanks.
