Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation has officially launched the all-new Montero Sport 2020 in the country. Check out the variants and prices below.
The Montero Sport 2020 is equipped with a 2.4L MIVEC turbo diesel engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission. Mitsubishi also retained the Super-Select 4WD-II system for optimal traction.
Inside the floor console and soft padded interior door handles are refreshed. The storage tray under the floor console is also accessible from the left and right sides. Users will also get an AC power outlet along with the USB plug for other devices.
The new Montero Sport 2020 will come with modern features such as a colored 8-inch LCD meter, and 8-inch Smartphone-Link Display Audio, hands-free power tailgate, 8-way power-adjustable driver seat for easy seating, and syncing with the Mitsubishi Remote control app where you can get reminder notifications such as locking the doors via the app, as well as open and close the tailgate automatically when the user is close (within Bluetooth range). *Smartphone app features available only for the 4×4 GT variant
The Montero Sport 2020 is also equipped with several safety features such as Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control, a multi-view camera system for parking, 7 airbags for the GT 4WD, 6 airbags for GT 2WD, and 2 airbags for the GLS and GLX variants.
Mitsubishi mentions four variants and seven colors for the Montero Sport 2020, but only launched the following so far:
- Montero Sport GT 2WD: PHP 1,998,000
- Montero Sport GLS 2WD: PHP 1,769,000
Color options include:
- White Diamond
- Sterling Silver Metalic
- Titanium Gray
- Medium Red
- Jet Black

Doesn’t seem like they sell the 4 wheel drive option here.
Well it’s not like you’ll go that high speed within the metro, but if you’re dropping at least 2 million for it it’s a definite nice to have.
