Just yesterday we wrote about the seemingly continuous success of the Libre Sakay program, and it seems the transportation powers at be want to keep it going by giving commuters an early Christmas gift.
The Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced on its Facebook page a few days ago that the Libre Sakay program on EDSA will be 24/7 during the month of December.
The 24/7 free ride program will begin starting December 1-31, 2022 as a means to further help commuters during the “Ber” months rush that is commonplace in the Philippines.
“This initiative of the DOTr and the LTFRB is to ensure that passengers can travel beyond the usual operating hours on EDSA Busway”, said DOTr Secretary Jaime Bautista.
This is welcome news for all commuters this coming holiday season, given that we all know how hectic and downright hassle it is to move around the metro during the holidays.
