Starting October 15, NLEX Balintawak and CALAX will be RFID only

Last September 1, the governing and managing bodies of our expressways and highways implemented a two-month dry run of pure cashless toll booths along NLEX, SLEX, SKYWAY, and others.

During the past month, however, they have chosen to retain some cash lanes, but come October 15, 2023, NLEX is going pure RFID on a main toll plaza.

NLEX Balintawak to go Cashless this October 15

The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) announced on its official Facebook page the other day that another set of highway toll plazas is set to implement the cashless policy.

Based on the photo posted above, the main entrance into the northbound portion of NLEX is set to dry run the pure cashless system, along with other areas like Porac, Floridablanca, and San Simon. As for the south, heavily used CALAX will also be implementing the cashless system for the Greenfield and Sta. Rosa exits.

So those who frequent these areas are encouraged to get their RFID stickers for a quicker and more seamless experience.
